There’s more to the world than what we can see from our office chairs. Learning all we can, exploring remote locations, and participating in culturally relevant events is what makes what we do at Anchor Social so effective.
Recently, we had the pleasure of attending the Burton US Open of Snowboarding in Vail, Colorado. Held annually every year in March since 1982, the US Open of Snowboarding has been the premiere event for snowboarders across the world to compete in the most rigorous tournament against the best in the league.
This year, Anchor Social was on the ground covering the event. Taking photos, live tweeting, uploading to Instagram, and running social media from the competitions and the nightlife made up an exhaustive week, but the results speak for themselves. Just take a look at the photos.
Engaging in an event as big as the US Open of Snowboarding was as exciting as it was humbling. We had the pleasure of speaking with professional giants such as Louie Vito, and watching experts like Taku Hiraoka shred the slopes and grab big air. The mountains of Vail were a far cry from our home in the Northeast, but we brought the excitement of the competition to a broader audience after our work there was done.
Next week, we’ll be on the ground again at Coachella, one of the largest music festivals in the United States. Make sure to follow our social media channels as we update and post live from the biggest concerts and the Sacred Grounds VIP party.
Stay tuned for updates, photos, and more from the ground.
